(Re)Starting Etsy. Week 3 out of 10.

Etsy Chellange

Hello there, and welcome (back) to my blog!

If you’re returning in order to see how my Etsy experience is going, well, I’ll have to disappoint you and tell that that in the last week this didn’t go as well as I was hoping.

What happened? I actually don’t know. Everything seemed to evolve in such a beautiful way until now. Now (better said last week) something happened and I can’t get ahead of it. Or maybe Etsy is just trying to drive me crazy, give me wings to be happy that I can learn to fly, and then just cut them off. A bit dramatic, I know, sorry.

(Re)Starting Etsy. Week 2 out of 10. 006

So… it’s already been a week since my first “update” and 2 weeks since I posted my first listing on Etsy.

I have to be honest with you, this week, maybe 2-3 days after I posted (Re)Starting Etsy. Week 1 out of 10 I had a little bit of a meltdown if I can even call it like that. I’ve been through some phases and felt the need to give everything up. For a second I felt that I don’t even know why I am doing this, felt disappointed because my Etsy shop didn’t boom in the first week. I knew from the beginning that I should not be expecting 1000 visits and 100 sales, I knew that, but I lost myself. Now I’m ok and thanks to this blog I’ll keep doing this. To be honest, like I said last week, I’m only documenting this on my blog to force me to keep ongoing. Didn’t want someone to visit my blog and see just 2-3 posts about this journey and that’s it, where’s the rest of it? No, if someone will visit this blog, he/she should be able to see all 10 posts that I’ll suppose to have at the end of this challenge.

(Re)Starting Etsy. Week 1 out of 10.

So, I’ve decided to actually give Etsy another try.
I think “another try” is actually ironic, because even if exactly one year ago (April 2019) I’ve opened my Etsy account, tried to sell something, and then forgot about it. I’ve done the usual human thing when you start something and you want results pretty much immediately. I made the first listing on Etsy somewhere in April and hoped to be rich in May, that was my strategy back then.

Learned much from that experience? Well, not really. I didn’t dedicate enough time and energy at the moment, so I can’t really say that I’ve learned something and now I’m coming with big ideas and a well-settled plan. That would actually be a lie. Maybe the only thing that I can say that I’m trying to do differently this time is to discover/rediscover my patience. Yeah… my patience is hidden somewhere (don’t know where) but I’m supposed to find it and try to use it.

Homemade hot chocolate mix – Just perfect for the chilly weather

[zilla_likes]

Hot chocolate mix

When I think about Christmas or the Holiday Season, the main things that come through my mind are sparkle, decorations, and hot chocolate. I love hot chocolate more than you can imagine, I actually love it so much that I like to eat all that mix with the spoon without milk or water.

Every season I buy a hot chocolate mix from the store, and this year I’ve tried to make my own, and, surprise surprise, it’s way cheaper. I’ve been making research on Pinterest and different food blogs just to find the perfect recipe for hot chocolate. At some point, I’ve actually found one, but, of corse didn’t save it and it got lost. I wanted to find something simple enough to just be able to make it every time without having to look up the recipe.

How to never run out of parsley

[zilla_likes]

Step up your parsley game!

Obviously, nothing tastes as good as fresh herbs, but I don’t always have in hand fresh parsley and to be honest, dried parsley it’s not really my thing, I can see it in my food but can’t really taste it. So since we made it clear that the best herbs are the fresh ones, on the bottom of my list are the dried ones, so, there must be something in the middle, right?
I know it might sound odd the idea of never running out of parsley, unfortunately for you and me I don’t actually have some magic seeds to grow an endless supply of parsley, but, I have a little trick that might help.

Cherries, mangos and some lime, perfect combination for summer

Since in my last post I was talking about hydration and how much water we should drink every day, today I should tell you that drinking plain water is not the only way to get hydrated. Having smoothies and natural juices every day it’s a very good way to get water into your system, some vitamins and have a healthy snack during the day.
